AIX System Administrator

Provides AIX administration and support for ATS customers |

Works on problem resolution for system issues such as backup failures, user management, error report resolution, full disk/filesystem issues, and system monitoring |

Provides hands-on support for servers and operating systems |
| • |
Provides recommendations and implementations of system tuning and configuration changes |
| • |
Maintains technical documentation to reflect changes to the environment |
| • |
Creates and modifies existing scripts |
Requirements:
| • |
AIX experience with knowledge of System p hardware, AIX, LPARs |
| • |
Familiarity with SAN, VIO, NIM, HACMP and TSM preferred |
| • |
IBM AIX and related certifications preferred, but not required |
| • |
Comfortable with short-term engagements with multiple customers on an ongoing basis |

Excellent communication skills |
| • |
Local travel is expected |

Lead AIX Administrator
| • |
Implementation and configuration of new AIX and System P systems |
| • |
Researches requirements, plans for and implements patch installations, OS updates, and firmware updates for the operating systems and hardware and develop documentation project plans and workflow process for related projects |

Provides hands-on support and troubleshooting for servers and operating systems |
| • |
Monitor and tune system for optimum performance |
Requirements:
| • |
Extensive knowledge of pSeries, AIX and LPARs with two to five plus year of experience |
| • |
Knowledge of HACMP, VIO, NIM and SAN |
| • |
IBM AIX Certifications |
| • |
Bachelor’s degree preferred |
| • |
Can perform tasks in discipline without assistance and highly proficient |
| • |
Comfortable with short-term engagements with multiple customers on an ongoing basis |

Excellent communication skills |
| • |
Local travel is expected; some out of state travel may be needed |
