ATS Identity Management Services

As an enterprise grows, it becomes increasingly more critical to identify and eliminate as many process inefficiencies as possible.  One such area that is often laden with tremendous inefficiencies is frequently referred to as “Identity Management”.  As organizations continue to add and remove both employees and managed services, the process for managing access for these employees to those services is becoming more and more time consuming.  Mergers and acquisitions only magnify this problem even more.  Unfortunately, hiring additional staff to manage this access is often not an option (and a short term fix anyway).  Instead, many organizations begin cutting corners, which typically results in too much access or too little access being granted.  Other times, they rely on a shared identity for multiple users, which completely removes accountability for individual employees.  Whatever the case, the “old” way is no longer working.

In the past, these were problems that created headaches and represented bottlenecks within rapidly changing organizations.  Today, however, it’s much more serious business as companies are required to make changes in order to comply with new federal laws, such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.

ATS has significant experience in the area of Identity Management, specifically with regard to integrating UNIX identities with existing enterprise directories such as Active Directory and other LDAP servers.  Let us work with you to understand your unique situation.  We will make sure you understand the options available to you, and work together to ensure that we integrate all of the necessary components for your particular environment.
